Motor Vehicle Accident w/ Fire

On Thursday Morning around 0630 hours companies were dispatched to Route 42 Northbound in the area of Exit 12 for a motor Vehicle Accident. While responding 8401 (Cheif Cipriano) was advised of a three car accident with fire. When crews arrived they found three vehicles well involved in the high speed lane. Quint 946 (Deptford FD) placed an attack line in service immediately. Engine 841, 842 and Rescue 938 assisted in extinguishing the fire. Overturned Vehicle on Route 42

On Sunday night at approximately 2030 hours Rescue 84, Engine 84, & BLS 8-0 were dispatched along with Gloucester County Rescue and Engine 9-3 (Deptford Fire Dept) to NJ Route 42 Northbound for a Motor Vehicle Accident with reported entrapment. 8401 (Chief Cipriano) and BLS 802 arrived simultaneously, 8401 reported an overturned vehicle with two occupants heavily entrapped. Crews from Rescue 84 and Engine 842 arrived and went to work. After the car was stabilized crews found the occupants to not be as trapped as previously thought. The two were assisted out of the rear passenger door to waiting GTEMS. Crews were on scene for about 25 minutes before being released. The crash under is investigation by the NJSP.

Members attend 41st Annual Firemans Memorial

On Wednesday Morning and evening members from Station 84 attended the 41st annual Fireman's Memorial at the Camden County Regional Emergency Training Center. This year was the opening of the brand new memorial (pictured below) created by the Camden County Fireman's Association to honor all of those who lost their lives in the line of duty. During the Memorial Service three of our members Chief Joseph Cipriano, Past Assistant Chief Michael Coucoules, and Past Chief William Robb were presented Meritorious Lifesaving Awards for their actions at an apartment fire on 12/3/18. Engine 841 responds as part of GT Hazmat Team

On Sunday morning at approximately 1040am Gloucester Township Hazardous Materials Team was requested to Winslow Township for a HazMat assignment. Engine 841 responded with four personnel including two HazMat Technicians, FM 84 along with 8403 (Captain Reiss) also responded as Techs. The situation was handled within 90 minutes. While crews were on scene of the incident members stayed in Station to staff Rescue and Ladder 84 in the event of another emergency in town. 

Tuesday Night Training

On Tuesday evening members joined to train together on engine company operations. Drill lead by Past-Chief Vannoni to deploy and understand certain hand lines on our engines. Crews practiced deploying and packing on the front bumper line, an important hose load used on both of our engines. Also a tanks to Company President Anthony Miller for preparing dinner for the crews tonight.

Rescue extricates one on Route 42

In the early hours of Monday morning, Rescue 84 along with GC Rescue 93 (Deptford FD) and BLS 80 (GTEMS) were dispatched to route 42 south for a motor vehicle accident. 8401 (Chief Cipriano) arrived to find a vehicle overturned with one person trapped. 2018 St Baldricks / Car Show

Today at 10am kicked off the 6th Annual St Baldricks Event / Car Show held at Palace Catering. Thank you to Debbie Simone and Annmarie Tonelli for organizing and running the event, along with all the others who supported today.
