Station 84 responds to Christmas Day Dwelling

On 12/25/17 Ladder 84 and Engine 841 responded to a reported dwelling fire along with other GT units. 8404 (Captain Dunlap) was on scene and alerted the communications center of a dwelling with fire showing first and second floor. 8602 (Deputy Chief Brown) arrived to confirm the report and assumed command. Quint 85 arrived and secured and water supply and stretched two lines to the dwelling. Engine 841 arrived and secured a secondary water supply and Ladder 84 operated as the second due truck company. The fire was placed under control approximately 1 hour after arrival.

Garage Fire in 84's Local

On 12/21/17 at approximately 22:12 hours Station 84, Station 82, Ladder 62, & BLS 80 were dispatched to 61 Blue Jay Drive in the Blackwood Section of GT. 8401 (Chief Cipriano) arrived to find and confirm a garage fire located at 59 Blue Jay Drive and the second source companies were added bringing Quint 85, Engine 83, Cascade 81, and Gloucester County Rescue 93. Engine 842 secured a water supply and stretched an 1 3/4 hand line to the garage. The fire was contained to one house and the companies were shortly released.

29th Annual Blackwood Fire Company Christmas Parade

In the spirit of the season, we invite you to join us for a magical night on Saturday, Dec. 2 starting at 6 p.m. as the Blackwood Fire Company presents “Christmas Around the World.” The parade will begin at the intersection of Black Horse Pike and Davistown Road, then proceed north to Blackwood Fire Company where there will be hot chocolate, cookies and photos with Santa.
