84 Responds to Vehicle Into Pole, Pedestrian MVA on Sunday night

Just after 7:30 p.m. Sunday, Rescue 84, Gloucester Township EMS and Virtua Medics were dispatched to the area of 560 S. Black Horse Pike for a reported crash. 8401 (Chief Cipriano) arrived to find a vehicle into a pole and all occupants out of the vehicle. Rescue 84 and Engine 841 remained on location for about a half hour until the scene was turned over to GTPD. A short time later, Rescue 84, Engine 842 and Engine 841 responded to a pedestrian MVA in the area of Davistown and Erial roads. Crews remained on scene until just prior to 9 p.m. 

Crash With Entrapment Involving Tractor-Trailer in 84's Local

Just before 9:30 p.m. Wednesday, Station 84, Gloucester Township EMSand Medics were dispatched to Blackwood-Clementon and Erial roads for a crash with entrapment. 8401 (Chief Cipriano) arrived to find a car underneath a tractor-trailer with the car's driver heavily entrapped. Crews from Rescue 84 and Engine 842, along with Rescue 82 (Chews Landing Fire Department) and Squad 62 (Pine Hill Fire Department), stabilized the vehicle and extricated the patient. Crews remained on location for about an hour before they were made available.

NJ Builders Association Selects General Contractor for Station Project for Award

The New Jersey Builders Association has announced that its 2017 above and beyond community service distinguished award is going to MJ Paparone Development Co. for management and construction of Blackwood Fire Company's Central Avenue Station renovation. Blackwood Fire Company would like to thank MJ Paparone for all of their hard work and dedication. Blackwood Firefighter Recognized by Township

Members of Blackwood Fire Company were in attendance at the February Gloucester Township Council meeting, where officials recognized outstanding civic duty during Black History Month. One of our own, Firefighter Dave Honey, was a recipient of a very well deserved award. On Friday, Feb. 10, Rescue 84, GTEMS and Medics were dispatched to 2 Douglas Avenue for a reported motor vehicle accident with entrapment. Units arrived to find a two-vehicle crash with two people trapped. Crews from Rescue 84, Engine 842, Station 82 and Station 86 extricated the patients, who were transported by EMS.
