Members of Blackwood Fire Company were in attendance at the February Gloucester Township Council meeting, where officials recognized outstanding civic duty during Black History Month. One of our own, Firefighter Dave Honey, was a recipient of a very well deserved award. Members Conduct Walk-Through of Hydes Plastics
Members from Station 84, Chews Landing Fire Department, Pine Hill Fire Department and Blenheim Fire Company conducted a walk-through of Hydes Plastics on Main Street in Blackwood during our weekly drill night.
Pin Job in Chestnut Glen
On Friday, Feb. 10, Rescue 84, GTEMS and Medics were dispatched to 2 Douglas Avenue for a reported motor vehicle accident with entrapment. Units arrived to find a two-vehicle crash with two people trapped. Crews from Rescue 84, Engine 842, Station 82 and Station 86 extricated the patients, who were transported by EMS.
Ladder 84, GTEMS Help Deliver Baby in Blackwood
Ladder 84 and Gloucester Township EMS helped deliver a baby this afternoon in Blackwood. After clearing from another call, crews from Ladder 84 responded to Church Street and found a delivery in progress. Both mother and baby Kaden are reportedly doing great.

Past Chief Hangs Up Bunker Gear for the Last Time After 50 Years of Service
During our annual installation banquet on Saturday night, Blackwood Fire Company marked the end of an era. Past Chief Jay Pantalone hung up his bunker gear for the last time recently after 50 years of active service to the company. Chief Pantalone's leadership was instrumental in making the department what it is today. Blackwood Fire Company presented Chief Pantalone with this helmet last night as a small token of our appreciation for all that he has done during his time in the company.
Members Officially Dedicate Renovated Station
Blackwood Fire Company officially dedicated the renovation and addition to our Central Avenue Station during a ribbon cutting ceremony Saturday afternoon. Station 84 thanks the members of the Building Committee, the commissioners of Gloucester Township Fire District 4, our local elected leaders and all of those who worked so hard to make this day a reality. We would also like to thank Delaware City Volunteer Fire Company, No. 1, Inc., Station 15, which covered the district while Blackwood's members enjoyed our annual installation of officers banquet Saturday night.
Station Turns Out for Member Reporting for Overseas Deployment
Good luck to Blackwood Fire Company Lt. Jason Stott, who reported Monday for a one-year overseas deployment with the U.S. Army. Members from Blackwood and the Gloucester Township Police Department turned out early Monday to wish him well. See you soon, Jason!










Blackwood Goes to Work in Chews Landing
On Saturday, Jan. 14, Station 84 was dispatched as past of Task Force 821 (Chews Landing) for a reported apartment fire at the La Cascata Apartments. The fire was quickly knocked down by crews from Chews Landing, Pine Hill, Runnemede, Lindenwold and Blackwood.







Blackwood Goes to Work at Multi-Alarm Fire in Blenheim
Crews were dispatched Saturday night to the Lakeview Apartments in Station 83's (Blenheim) local for a reported apartment fire. First-arriving crews arrived to find a three-story apartment building with fire through the roof. The third-alarm was transmitted as crews battled the blaze in the bitter cold.
